Terry and his mother support his father in different ways. What do these differences tell us about them?

• Both Terry and his mother want to help their father and husband because they are both very caring people. Although their ways of thinking is different so they help him in different ways. Terry's mother wants to stay away from the story, she doesn't want to know and doesn't want to remind her husband about it. That's why she doesn't want to talk to her son about it. So she keep a secret on what happened to her husband. She seems to be a very serious woman. Terry is different from his mother on the other hand. He wants to know what really happened to his father and he thinks that talking to his father will help. This shows that he is a curious thirteen years old boy and he is also very brave to overcome his embarrassment and ask.
